The Zemanta Plug-in analyze your post while you are writing and suggesting links and images to use in your post. The good part is that all images which the Zemanta plug-in suggested are from services like Wikimedia, Flickr etc. which are often under Creative Commons license and you don’t have to be worried about to use them.

Settings

There is no way to edit the settings of the plug-in within the Windows Live Writer. You have to do it online.

Image Insert

Unfortunately you can choose only to add the images in the upper right or in the upper left of the post. If you want to add an image in the middle of the post you have to switch to the source code view and cut and paste the div box.

Amazon links

If you have an Amazon ID, use it or Zemanta will use its own Amazon ID to the Amazon links.

Signature image

If you use Zemanta, the plug-in inserts automatically an image to the end of your post. If you don’t want this you have to delete the image before posting.

Update: You can enable the option that no "reblog" image will be shown in the post (thx Jure)

The idea of the plug-in is great and very useful for bloggers but I don’t like the idea a plug-in is adding an image automatically even if I can delete it manually or that the Amazon links use the Affiliate ID if I don’t have one.
